A selection of Romold guests were treated to enjoy the culinary delights of MBE chef, Tony Singh on Saturday (22nd February) evening in a private dining experience in the TV chef’s home dining room. The meal for 10 guests was purchased by Romold Managing Director, Bruce Wishart, at auction, who won the private dining experience at a recent Armed Forces Covenant charity event where Tony graciously donated his cooking skills and home. Romold is proud to support the Armed Forces Covenant and has previously been involved in supporting the cause, were again pleased to be able to contribute to the worthy cause. The Covenant aims to ensure any member of the AF community has the same access to Government and commercial services and products as anyone else. These areas can include education, family well-being, having a home, financial assistance, access to healthcare, discounted services and supported in any new career.
The event which took place in Singh’s home in Edinburgh on Saturday was attended by Romold UK & Ireland Sales Manager, Sandra Geddes, who said this of the evening
“It was an absolute pleasure to watch Tony in his own kitchen, who was on hand to deliver a seasonal feast and all in the name of a good cause. Tony’s hospitality was only surpassed by his delectable dining delights and it's great to see Tony who is exceptionally busy with all of his culinary ventures, being able to support the worthy cause of the Armed Forces Covenant.”
Tony is a member of significant industry peer appointed associations, a Master Chef of Great Britain, and the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts, the Craft Guild of Chefs and the Scottish Chefs Association. Tony was awarded his MBE in the 2017 Honours list, for services to the food and drink industry, and also for his charity work. Tony runs a private dining experience called Tony’s Supper Club where he hosts up to 12 guests where he cooks a stunning array of dishes based on the best of the season’s ingredients using Scottish & British produce and focusing on Tony’s wide range of influences and flavour combinations.
