Celebrating International Women’s Day at Romold

On the 8th March every year, the world honours the achievements of women throughout history and all across the globe. In celebration of International Women’s Day, we would like to introduce you to our inspirational employee Laura…
 
Laura joined Romold back in 2002 as a receptionist. She was the first person visitors met when they came to the Romold head office, her warm, friendly manner made everyone feel welcome.
 
After 2 years, Laura was promoted to a Sales Assistant. She wanted a new challenge and to be more involved with Romold’s customers. With her kind nature and positive attitude, Laura always went above and beyond to ensure our customer’s expectations were met, and by doing so, she developed long-lasting relationships.  
 
With her continuous learning, professional growth and her eagerness for more responsibility, Laura moved on to become an Accounts Assistant in 2009. This allowed her to be more involved in the business while gaining additional skills and experience.
 
In 2011, Laura gave birth to her beautiful daughter, Lily. Upon her return to Romold in 2012, Laura moved to customer services, being the social butterfly she is, she missed interacting with customers.
 
With her love of helping people and following company policies, Laura developed a keen interest in HR (Human Resources) and after some encouragement from Jim McLeary, the Group Operations Director, Laura enrolled in an evening CIPD Level 3 Human Resources Practise course in 2018. In June 2020, Laura will have achieved her CIPD Level 5 Intermediate Diploma in HR Management and become an Associate Membership of the CIPD. With this qualification, she will have the knowledge and skills required for a more senior HR role.

Laura is a tremendous asset to Romold and a great role model to others, she is hard-working, dedicated, effective learner and driven to succeed. She overcomes any challenge by excelling at her job and always taking initiative to complete more projects and learn new skills. She is always very willing and helpful not just to our customers, but also to her co-workers.
